Why in News

• On July 27, 2021, the Jharkhand cabinet approved the Jharkhand Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2021, doubling the application fee, license fee and permit fee.

Key Points

• Learning license verification fee, driving license, renewal license fee has been increased.
• Permit fees for passenger vehicles, passenger buses and motor cabs have also been increased.
• The amount has been increased to Rs. 1500 by increasing the fee for tourist vehicles.
