Why in News? 

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah addressed the Krishak Sammelan in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh on 25 December 2025. 

Key Points

 

• Focus Area: Emphasis on natural farming as a sustainable agricultural practice. 
• Model Farm: Basavan Mama Govansh Van Vihar (a model farm and training centre in Rewa) highlighted as a successful natural farming model benefiting small and marginal farmers. 
• Natural Farming: As per NITI Aayog, Natural Farming is “a chemical-free traditional farming method” rooted in agroecological principles integrating crops, trees, livestock, and functional biodiversity. 
  • Benefits of Natural Farming: Increase farmers’ income, conserves water, and produces healthy crops without chemical inputs.  
• Certification & Market Access: Ministry of Cooperation has set up two large cooperatives to certify, test, pack, market and export organic produce. 
  • National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL): Focuses on organic produce marketing, certification, testing, packaging and branding. 
  • National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL): Focuses on exporting cooperative sector products and boosting foreign demand. 
• Lab Network: Plan to expand 400 laboratories nationwide. 
• Call to Action: Encouraged citizens to plant peepal trees to support environmental health and serve nature. 

Anti‑Terror Conference to Be Inaugurated in New Delhi

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah will inaugurate the Anti‑Terror Conference in New Delhi on 26 December 2025.

• Inaugurated By: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah will preside over the inauguration.  
  • Aim:The conference is aimed at strengthening India’s counter-terrorism preparedness and coordination. 
• Organiser: The conference is organised by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.  
• Vision: Shaped under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of zero tolerance for terrorism. 
• Focus Areas: This include foreign evidence collection, digital forensics, data analysis in counter‑terrorism investigations and disrupting terror‑financing networks. 
  • Counter-Radicalisation:Preventing radicalisation and recruitment, especially through digital platforms.
