IIM Ranchi Launches State-of-the-Art Finance Lab

Why in News? 

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi has launched a state‑of‑the‑art Finance Lab to strengthen experiential learning and research in finance and allied areas for students and faculty.

Key Points 

• Objective: The Finance Lab at IIM Ranchi is established to provide practical exposure to global financial markets and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real‑world financial decision-making. 
• Facilities & Tools: The lab is equipped with advanced technology, analytical tools and financial databases to support experiential learning, data analysis and research. 
• Users & Beneficiaries: The facility will benefit students, researchers and faculty members, enabling hands-on experience with real‑time financial data. 
• Significance: The Finance Lab will make students industry-ready, enhance research output, and strengthen IIM Ranchi’s role in developing a skilled, future-ready finance workforce, in line with India’s emphasis on skill-based higher education.
