Why in News?

• On June 2, 2022, the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand K. Ravi Kumar finalised the outline of the Event Vehicle Management System App after discussions in a meeting with the office bearers concerned with the vehicle treasury.

Key Points

• The app will be used to create a database of vehicles used in elections and make quick payments for the acquired vehicles.
• The Chief Electoral Officer said that the app will be used in the upcoming elections, which will reduce the disputes related to payment of vehicles.
• Under this app, details of the type of the car, number, name of its owner and meter reading of the time-taking and releasing the vehicle including the use of the vehicle in the election will be available.
