Stroke Intervention Lab will be Established in Sawai Mansingh Hospital

Why in News?

On 4 May 2023, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved a financial provision of Rs 8 crore for the establishment of a stroke intervention lab at Sawai Mansingh SMS Hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Key Points:

• With this lab, medical facilities will be expanded in the SMS hospital and patients will be able to get better treatment in a timely manner.
• It is notable that the Chief Minister announced the establishment of the lab in the budget of the year 2023-24.
• A stroke is a medical emergency that requires immediate medical care because the brain does not receive enough oxygen or nutrients. Due to which brain cells (brain cells) die.
