COVID-19 Treatment and Management Plan

Why in News

• On November 2, 2021, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan through video conferencing, approval was given to the Covid-19 treatment and management plan.

Key Points

• Under this scheme, health infrastructure upgradation, human resource management, purchase of medicines and other equipment, free treatment of covid patients, testing and sampling arrangements, covid friendly behavior-awareness and publicity, covid care center operation, waste management of hospitals, Home isolation monitoring and medical kit distribution etc. have been included.
• A total of Rs 480 crore is proposed for the implementation of the scheme, out of which Rs 75 crore is currently available through re-appropriation.
