• On 31 May 2023, a well-known writer and social worker of Haryana Sweety Tomar presented a copy of her book 'Samvedna Ki Pukar' to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh.

• Through the book 'Samvedna Ki Pukar', Sweety Tomar has highlighted the social challenges faced by girls in getting an education and the harmful effects of child marriage.
• The author said that literature, especially books, can play an important role in bringing about a change in society.
• On this occasion, the author discussed with the Chief Minister the social issues related to girl education and child marriage raised through the book.
