Why In News
- On December 3, 2021, by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh, Gram Panchayat Barodiakalan of Tehsil Malthoun of Sagar district was made a city council. Information in this regard has been published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette.
Key Points
- Under the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Act, 1961, Barodiakalan has been made a Municipal Council by merging 22 villages of 7 Gram Panchayats.
- In this, along with Gram Panchayat Barodiakalan, Dabdera, Bikorkalan, Dari, Rajwans, Bankhiriya and Umrai Gram Panchayats have been included.
- The citizens of Barodiakalan region thanked Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh for this achievement.
