Chhattisgarh’s men’s handball team secured a bronze medal at the 54th Senior Men’s National Handball Championship 

Key Points 

• Event & Host: The 54th Senior Men’s National Handball Championship was held in West Bengal. 
• Organiser:  Event organised by the West Bengal State Handball Association under the Handball Association of India. 
• Winner: The winner of the Championship was Uttar Pradesh. 
• Medal: Chhattisgarh faced hosts West Bengal In the semifinal, narrowly losing 36‑37. The team was subsequently awarded the bronze medal jointly with Rajasthan.  
• Team Composition: The 21-member Chhattisgarh men’s handball team included players from CISF Bhilai and various districts of the state, with Pardeep as the captain. 
• Significance: The achievement reflects Chhattisgarh’s competitive strength in handball and contributes positively to the state’s sports profile at the national level.
