Chief Minister inaugurates Dialysis Unit at Rajnandgaon District Hospital

Why In News?

On November 22, 2022, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated a dialysis unit constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh at Rajnandgaon District Hospital (Basantpur).

Key Points

• With the launch of dialysis unit in Rajnandgaon district, free health facilities will be available to the patients. The establishment of 5 dialysis units in this hospital will also benefit patients from remote forest areas and other districts.
• It is noteworthy that when diabetes and high blood pressure increase, this disease becomes serious and the kidneys stop working properly. It costs a lot to treat this disease. This dialysis unit will prove to be effective in relieving this problem.
