The Prime Minister Naredra Modi laid the foundation stone (Bhoomi Poojan) of a new ammonia-urea fertiliser plant at Namrup in Assam.

- Strategic Location: The plant is situated at Namrup in Dibrugarh district, Assam, a traditional fertiliser hub with established industrial infrastructure.

- Investment & Production: Approximately Rs 11,000 crore will be invested in the fertiliser plant.
