'Patch Reporting App'

Why in news?

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched a 'patch reporting app' On May 18, 2023, this app will have been used to captured photos of potholed roads from anywhere in the state and send them to the government.

Key Points

  • Through this app, Any person will now be able to register his complaint on the 'Patch Reporting App' with complete information by taking photographs of potholes on the roads around him. After the repair of that road, the photo of the repaired road will be sent to the complaint on the app itself along with complete information.
  • Through the app, there will be a lot of help in making the roads of the state pothole free.
  • The Chief Minister instructed the officials of the Public Works Department that within a week of receiving the complaint, the responsibility of the officers should be fixed for action and the higher officials should also monitor it regularly.
  • The location information of the pit spot will automatically be displayed in the patch reporting app. This mobile app, which helps in making the roads pothole-free in the state, has been developed by the Public Works Department to maintain interaction with the common people for smooth and safe travel.
