The sixth edition of the Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG) 2026 was declared open in Leh, Union Territory of Ladakh.

- Inauguration: The event was inaugurated at Nawang Dorjan Stobdan (NDS) Stadium by the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta.
