- He is the Trustee of 'Krantiveer Chapekar Smarak Samiti Chinchwad' and the founder of 'Punarutthan Samarasata Gurukulam'.
- Punarutthan Samarsata Gurukulam is a project dedicated to creating a harmonious society through education, both academic and skill based, for students from classes I to X.
- He organized - Bhatake Vimukta Vikas Parishad, a project for the upliftment of ex-criminal and nomadic tribes and communities.
- It organized the different types of communities and tribes; made them socialize and imparted vocational training to young men & women.
- Shri Girish Prabhune was the founder member of various organistions and received many awards in the field of social work.
