On November 1, 2021, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the transparent composite cylinder.
Key points
- It is being manufactured by IOCL. Indane plans to take it door-to-door in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Kanpur.
- It is a three layer cylinder made of blow molded inner liner, which is covered with a composite layer of polymer fiber glass.
- This cylinder is lightweight and rustproof and does not explode in case of fire. This will also help in preventing gas theft from cylinders.
