- On February 14, 2022, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced the release of the ranking of 20 prisons in Haryana in a seminar organized in view of the reforms of the Prisons Department at the District Secretariat Auditorium.

- The Chief Minister said that the ranking of total 20 jails in Haryana would be determined and the superintendents of the jails who stood first, second and third would be encouraged to be recognized as the best jails.
- On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to provide phone facility to the jail superintendents at the level of Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Police Department.
- The Chief Minister said that the jail staff has an important role in the improvement of the jail department, the jail superintendent should show activeness in bringing about change in the behavior of those with criminal tendencies.
