Why In News?
On March 6, 2023, a spokesman of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of Haryana informed that Haryana Agriculture Development Fair -2023 will be organized at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University located in Hisar district of the state. The fair will run 10 to March from March 12.

- A spokesman of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said that Haryana Agricultural Development Fair-2023 is being organized to make the progressive farmers of the state aware of new agricultural techniques.
- Agricultural and industrial exhibitions will be organized in the fair and crop competition will be organized among the farmers. Similarly, new varieties of rabi crops will be demonstrated and the soil and water samples will be examined at the normal fee.
- In this fair, there will be a quiz meeting on the topic of problems and solutions related to agriculture and information about certified seeds of Kharif crops and vegetables will be given and sold.
- According to the spokesman, Haryanvi cultural programs will also be organized in the Krishi Vikas Mela. Apart from this, through the lucky draw, farmers will get a chance to win a small tractor, super cedar and power winder machine every day and on March 12, 2023, farmers will get a chance to win a big tractor.
