'Gothan Map' Mobile App

- On December 20, 2021, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched 'Gothan Map' (Gothan Multi Activity and Livelihood Management) mobile app developed by Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS-CHIPS) for Gothan Management in a program organized at his residence office.
Key Points
- Through this app, complete details of cow dung purchase, Gothan details, pasture and pardan, information on activities of self-help groups, infrastructure etc. will be available at a single click.
- The app, developed in-house by CHIPs, will have a Gothan wise database of Gothans operating across the state, with details of resources, activities, beneficiaries and services etc. available in the Gothans. Digital mapping of Gothans will be done through Geo-tagging, which will provide continuous accounting of resources of Gothans.
- A database of multi activities conducted by Self Help Groups will be prepared in each Gothan. This framework will enable accurate monitoring of key indices of Gothans. With this, the availability and marketing of the material produced in the Gothans and the accounts of the beneficiaries will be available.
- The App will have a robust digital evaluation mechanism for both Gothan affiliated Gothan Committees and Self-Help Groups for the State Government and a Gothan centric database ensuring accuracy. Based on this database, it will help in planning future activities in Gothans.
- New sources of livelihood will be identified through monitoring the trend and performance of income generating activities in Gothan. This will increase the income of the stakeholders and increase the scope for planning and promotion of the micro industry.
