  • Previous Record: The earlier record belonged to Chris Gayle of the West Indies cricket team, who scored a 47-ball century against the England cricket team in the 2016 T20 World Cup in Mumbai.

    • T20 International: Sahil Chauhan holds the record for the fastest T20I century (27 balls) against Cyprus national cricket team in 2024.
