Circle and Forest Division Wise Jagdalpur on Top in the Progress of Minor Forest Produce-Based Development Works in the State

According to the information given by Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department on June 17, 2023, Jagdalpur is at the top in the progress of minor forest produce-based development works in Chhattisgarh circle and forest division-wise under the financial year 2022-23.

- According to the information, Jagdalpur has got the first place in the ranking of minor forest produce-based development works in all 6 forest circles and forest divisions of the state.
- According to the information received from the Managing Director, State Minor Forest Produce Association, Anil Rai, among these circle-wise first place is Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Kanker and Surguja after Jagdalpur.
- Similarly, in district union-wise ranking, first Jagdalpur is followed by Katghora and Balod. After this respectively Balodabazar, Dhamtari, Gariaband, Kawardha, Dantewada East Bhanupratappur, Rajnandgaon, Kanker, Bilaspur, Mahasamund, Balrampur, Sukma, Dharamjaigarh, Khairagarh, Bijapur, Korba, Narayanpur, Surajpur, Raigarh, Dakshin Kondagaon, Surguja, Jashpur, Manendragarh, West Bhanupratappur, Keshkal, Korea and Marwahi.
- According to Managing Director Anil Rai, the said rank has been determined after reviewing the work done by each circle and district union on the basis of collection, processing, marketing, lac rearing, drug project & financial progress under minor forest produce-based development works.
