C-20 Chaupal organized for the 1st time in Ranchi

Why in News?

According to information received from the media on June 27, 2023, the citizens foundation and Sewa International organized the first-ever C-20 Chaupal program in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, in which many aspects of service, the spirit of service, philanthropy and volunteerism were discussed in detail.

Key Points:

  • Directors and philanthropists of various social organizations working in Jharkhand, representatives of civil society organizations, CSR heads of corporate companies and important scholars from educational institutions participated in this programme.
  • The first session of the three-session event was moderated by Rashmi Saha, founder of Mukti Mission, in which Tanvi Jha, State Programme Manager, Sini Jharkhand, Monika Arya, Founder of Palona Foundation, Richa Chaudhary, State Project Director, AFC India Limited, discussed in detail the topic 'Spirit of Service' and its impact on normal life and its social significance.
  • Similarly, in the second session, Atul Gera, founder and philanthropist of Live Savers, Ranchi, Rishabh Anand, founder of Rise Up and Dr. Arvind Sahay, founder of KGVK organization, jointly participated as panelists and spoke on the topic 'Spirit of Volunteering in the field of Social Development'.
  • Why volunteering is important at the social level and what can be its positive results were also discussed. This session was moderated by Rajeev Gupta.
  • The final and special session of the C-20 Choupal program was moderated by Nandlal Nayak, member of the Sangeet Natak Akademi (India) and advisor on folk and tribal arts, in which Dr. Mayank Murari, CSR Head, Usha Martin, Medical Officer of Paras Hospital were among the panelists. Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director and Kanika Malhotra, Founder and HR Consultant, Eyelid HR discussed in detail the topic 'Community Philanthropy'.
  • During the closing session of the program, Ganesh Reddy, CEO of Citizen Foundation, said that such social welfare programs help in the successful operation of many schemes related to the interest of the state.
