- Significantly, Anupama Upadhyay has won the women's singles title for the first time by defeating Chhattisgarh's Aakarshi Kashyap in the final match of Senior National Badminton Championship 2023. Anupama came from behind to beat Aakarshi 20-22, 21-17, 24-22 in a thrilling title match.
- Anupama secured the first rank based on her performance in the junior category. He is currently ranked third all-world in this category.
