(a) Highlight Nihalchand’s contribution to Rajasthani paintings.
(b) What is Khyat literature?
(c) What was Bardoli Satyagraha?(a). Nihalchand, a prominent artist at the Kishangarh court of Sawant Singh, elevated the Kishangarh style of painting. His most famous works, including portraits of Bani-Thani, are celebrated worldwide, often dubbed the "Indian Mona Lisa" for their grace.
(b). Khyat literature in Rajasthan, popular during the medieval period, narrates the heroic deeds and victories of rulers in princely states. Famous works include Dayaldas ri Khyat, Bakidas ri Khyat, and Jodhpur Rajya ri Khyat, capturing regional history and valor.
(C). The Bardoli Satyagraha of 1928, led by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, was a non-violent protest against a steep increase in land taxes by the British. After four months, the British government withdrew the tax hike, marking a major success for peasants' rights.
