About Ms. Sudha Murty
- Sudha Murty, a renowned author and philanthropist was awarded the Padma Bhushan award in 2023 for her major contribution in the field of social work.
- She was the first female engineer to be employed at the TATA Engineering & Locomotive Company.
- She served as chairperson of the Infosys Foundation before retiring in 2021 to serve society.
Social Work
- Under her leadership, the Infosys Foundation launched multiple initiatives to educate and empower people from the marginalised sections of society.
- She has written critically acclaimed books such as ‘Three Thousand Stitches’, ‘Wise & Otherwise’, ‘Mahashweta’ etc.
