  • India pledged 1 billion dollar to finance reconstruction, while China promised 483 million dollar in grant assistance.

  • Additional pledges 600 million dollar from the Asian Development Bank, 260 million dollar from Japan, 130 million dollar from the US, 100 million dollar  from the EU as well as an earlier announcement of up to 500 million dollar from the World Bank means the total assistance pledged now stands at roughly 3 billion dollar.
