Alwar district in Rajasthan has become the first district in India to attain 100 % insurance coverage.

- Historic Achievement: Alwar district has achieved complete insurance saturation, making it the first district in the country to ensure that every eligible resident has an insurance policy.
- National Initiative: This milestone is part of the ‘Insurance for All by 2047’ roadmap, a joint effort of the Government of India and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) under the Ministry of Finance.
- Implementation: Door-to-door surveys were conducted across the district to identify and insure all previously uninsured individuals above the age of 10.
- Fully Insured Villages: Nine villages declared fully covered.
- Insurance Provider: Insurance policies were issued by United India Insurance Company Ltd.
- Significance: This achievement strengthens financial inclusion and social security at the grassroots, reducing vulnerability to economic shocks and promoting dignity and future self-reliance for citizens.
