On August 9, 2021, Chief Minister Dhami, in a conference held at the Town Hall of Dehradun, renamed the 'Kutumb Pension Scheme' to the dependents of the freedom fighters of the state as 'Samman Pension Yojana'.

Expressing respect for the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, the name of this scheme has been changed to Samman Yojana.
On this occasion, the dependents of the freedom fighters were honored and their contribution was appreciated.
The main objective of this scheme is to improve the standard of living of the dependents of freedom fighters and to provide them financial assistance.
