Why In News?

• On 10 October 2022, Pranav Kori and Siddhi Gupta of Madhya Pradesh won gold medals at Malkhamb in the 36th National Games being held in Gujarat.

Key Points

• It is to be noted that Siddhi Gupta won Gold Medal in Pole Malkhamb and Silver Medal in Rope Malkhamb and Pranav Kori won Gold Medal in Hanging Malkhamb.
• Apart from these, Rajveer Pawar of the state won silver medal in rope Malkhamb and Chandrashekhar Chauhan won 1-1 bronze medal in rope and pole Malkhamb event respectively.
• So far, Madhya Pradesh has won a total of 59 medals with 19 gold, 23 silver and 17 bronze medals in the 36th National Games.
