Peace Ambassador Award by CM Nitish Kumar | 11 Mar 2026

• Nitish Kumar honored Dr. Iqbal Hasan “Rishu” of Darbhanga with a state-level “Peace Ambassador” award, including a citation and Rs. 10,000, at BMP-5 campus in Patna. 
  • Dr. Iqbal Hasan was recognized for actively preventing communal tensions and promoting harmony, especially for pacifying unrest in the Nagar police station area in January. 
• Along with him, 11 individuals from across Bihar were honored for contributions in women’s empowerment, social service, and crime prevention, highlighting Darbhanga’s pride in peacebuilding efforts.
