One State, One Wealth Tax Assessment System | 22 Feb 2022

GIS mapping of cities is being done to implement a uniform tax assessment system of property tax in the state of Uttarakhand.

14 cities of Uttarakhand have been included in the first phase, out of which GIS mapping of 4 cities- Dehradun, Haridwar, Haldwani and Rudrapur is in the final stage.
In the second phase, surveys for house tax will be done in all the Nagar Panchayats.
Under this scheme, geo-ranking of all residential and commercial buildings will be done by GIS mapping of the municipal area and all the buildings will be given a smart card with a unique ID number.
In this ID, all the details including the photo of the building, size, covered area, name of the landlord, house number will be recorded.
