International Conference on ‘Ekatma Manav Darshan – Bharat’s Worldview’ in Karnataka | 27 Mar 2026

The Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan virtually inaugurated the International Academic Conference on ‘Ekatma Manav Darshan – Bharat’s Worldview’ at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru on 25 March 2026.

• Theme: The conference focused on “Ekatma Manav Darshan – Bharat’s Worldview.” 
  • The concept of Ekatma Manav Darshan (Integral Humanism) was propounded by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, emphasising harmony between the individual, society, nature, and the universe. 
  • The conference commemorates 60 years of Ekatma Manav Darshan. 
• Values Emphasised: The philosophy stresses Dharma, Kartavya (duty), truth, compassion, and service as guiding principles for society. 
• Organisers: The conference is organised by Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). 
• Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya:  
  • He was born on 25 September 1916. 
  • His birth anniversary (25 September) has been observed as Antyodaya Diwas since 2014. 
  • In 2015, the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission was created by renaming the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM). 
  • In 2018, Mughalsarai Junction in Uttar Pradesh was renamed Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction in his honour. 
  • He died on 11 February 1968.
