Industrial Area in Each Subdivision of the State | 16 Mar 2022

On March 14, 2022, Rajasthan's Industries Minister Shakuntala Rawat told the Legislative Assembly that for the first time in the country, it has been decided to open industrial areas in each sub-division by doing innovative experiments in Rajasthan.

Shakuntala Rawat said that RIICO has identified land in 129 subdivisions out of 153 subdivisions deprived of industrial areas and administrative and financial approval of more than Rs 2100 crore has been issued for setting up industrial areas in 45 subdivisions.
He informed that 2138 industrial plots were allotted by the previous government during the entire tenure, whereas in 3 years about 4000 plots have been allotted by the present government.
Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy-2019 has been issued in compliance with the Public Manifesto. This includes inclusive and sustainable industrial development, industrial infrastructure, competitive financial incentives, etc.
At the same time, commendable work is being done by RIICO in industrial sector development. Till now 370 industrial areas have been established. Out of these 41600 units are under production.
