Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on 25 December 2025, marking the 101st birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. 

Key Points 

• Occasion: Birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee; also observed as Good Governance Day. 
• Purpose: A national memorial and inspirational complex built to promote the ideals of nationalism, good governance, and public service. 
• Inaugurations at the Rashtra Prerna Sthal: To show the path of self-respect, unity, and service. 
  • Statues: 65-feet bronze statues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. 
  • Museum: A lotus-shaped, state-of-the-art museum featuring digital and immersive galleries that showcase the leadership legacy and India’s national journey. 
• Area & Cost: Spread over about 65 acres; developed at a cost of around ₹230 crore. 
• Significance for UP: Enhances cultural infrastructure and positions Lucknow as a national heritage and inspiration hub.
