The Clinical Laboratory at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Bengaluru under the Ministry of Ayush has achieved ISO 15189:2022 accreditation for Biochemistry and Haematology, becoming the first institute under CCRAS to receive this recognition.

  • Achievement: The laboratory at CARI Bengaluru has been awarded ISO 15189:2022 accreditation, marking a major milestone in quality-assured diagnostic healthcare under the Ministry of Ayush.
    • It is the first institute under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) to receive this international-level accreditation.
  • Scope: The lab provides tests such as blood glucose, HbA1c, liver and kidney function tests, lipid profile, thyroid profile and complete blood count.
    • The laboratory conducted over 1.52 lakh tests in 2025–26.
  • Technological Integration: It uses advanced diagnostic systems and digital reporting tools, enabling faster reports via SMS, email and WhatsApp.
  • Earlier Accreditations: CARI Bengaluru had earlier received NABH and NABL entry-level certifications during 2021–22, strengthening its quality framework.
