47th Sub Junior National Basketball Championship | 22 Nov 2022

On November 21, 2022, Chhattisgarh basketball team has secured fifth position in the 47thSub Junior National Basketball Championship held at Kangra in Himachal Pradesh.

In this competition, the players of Chhattisgarh played brilliantly and improved their 11thranking to the 5th rank.
Chhattisgarh lost 47-42 to Karnataka in a challenging match in their quarter-finals. Chhattisgarh's girls' team defeated Kerala 41-35 to finish fifth in the sub-junior nationals.
The Chhattisgarh Junior National Girls Basketball Team consisted of Asha (Captain), Antara, Divya, Sara, Reha, Amudini, Devika, Aastha Soni, Chhavi, Shubhangi, Aksara, Jenny.
It is noteworthy that in this competition, the Chhattisgarh girls team defeated strong teams like Kerala, Gujarat, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan and Goa.
The girls performed excellently and made a place in the upper class category by taking long jump from 11th position to 5th position in the country, which will help them a lot in the upcoming national competitions.
