How to Calculate Your MP PCS Prelims Score
To calculate your exact marks, compare your OMR responses with the answer key and apply the official MPPSC 2026 marking scheme:
- Correct Answer: +3 Marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 Mark
- Unattempted Question: 0 Marks
- Blank Question (No circles marked): 0 Marks
- Multiple Circles Marked: -1 Mark
Important Note on Merit: Your final Prelims score for the State Civil Services is determined solely by Paper 1 (General Studies) out of 300 marks.
Note on Paper 2 (CSAT): CSAT is strictly a qualifying paper for the State Civil Services. You must score the minimum qualifying percentage in Paper 2 for your Paper 1 (General Studies) score to be evaluated for the merit list.
What Should Your Next Step Be?
If your calculated score from Paper 1 falls comfortably within or above our expected cut-off margins, and you are clearly passing the CSAT paper, shift your focus entirely to the Mains examination.
The window between Prelims results and Mains is historically short, making early preparation a distinct advantage.
If you are falling short this time, use this paper to identify your weak areas and adjust your strategy for the next cycle of State PCS and UPSC examinations.
